The BBC has announced the guest cast for episodes seven and eight of Silent Witness season 29, titled Grace of God, which air on Monday, 23 February and Tuesday, 24 February. The series, which moved from London to Birmingham this year, continues with its regular cast including Emilia Fox as Dr Nikki Alexander, David Caves as Jack, Maggie Steed as Harriet, and Fran Mills as Kit.
The synopsis for Grace of God states: "As Jack feels the weight of local gun-related deaths on his shoulders, he takes it out on a punter in a bar fight and must decide whether to involve Nikki and the Bowman team." The episode features guest stars Christopher Coghill, Ben Batt, and Vinette Robinson.
Christopher Coghill, known for his role as Hobbs in Slow Horses, plays Scott Ashton. His other credits include EastEnders, Emmerdale, The Bay, The Gold, The Walk-In, Line of Duty, Home Fires, and The Royal.
Ben Batt, who portrays Jason, is recognised for his work in Shameless and Riot Women. His extensive television credits include Murder Before Evensong, Toxic Town, Domina, Rules of the Game, Scott and Bailey, The Village, Sirens, Our Girl, The English Game, Jamestown, and In the Dark.
Vinette Robinson plays DS Fiona Mahler. She won a British Independent Film Award for her role in Boiling Point and has appeared in Sherlock, The A Word, The Lazarus Project, Code 404, Six Four, The Gathering, Hope Springs, and Waterloo Road.
Additional guest stars include Clint Gordon as Kyle Boyle, who has featured in The Wheel of Time, Coronation Street, Happy Valley, Emmerdale, Waterloo Road, and the film Giant; Rebecca Charles as Dr Walker, known for The Bill, We Hunt Together, Bridget Jones's Diary, Shakespeare in Love, and Midsomer Murders; and Sunjay Midda as DS Begum, recognised from Doctors, Death and Other Details, and Torchwood.
