Shetland star Lewis Holden, who plays Billy McCabe in the BBC drama, has praised his new on-screen wife, Leigh Biagi, who joins the cast as Morag this series. Holden described Biagi as 'fab' and said they 'hit it off right away'.
This season marks the first time Billy's personal life is explored, with scenes set outside the police station. His wife Morag previously worked with the victim, Eadie Tulloch, at Shetland's social services department. Eadie's late husband was Billy's former sergeant, making her death particularly hard-hitting for the McCabes.
Holden said: 'This series, we finally get to meet Mrs McCabe, Billy's wife, Morag... She's fab! It was great having Leigh Biagi on set and exploring the personal life of Billy away from the station.' He added that Billy and Morag have 'a great wee house' with seals and seabirds for neighbours, but 'trouble is brewing'.
In tonight's episode, Chris and Hayley's attempts to pay off debts go violently wrong, catching a Lunniswick local in the middle. Calder and Tosh question Stevie, facing Amy's growing protectiveness. Isobel tries to hold her family together, pregnant Jess sneaks out, and Tom makes tough sacrifices. Sandy investigates Eadie's finances, leading to a troubling conclusion.
