In the pattern challenge, the sewers were tasked with emulating a dress by Cristobal Balenciaga. The transformation challenge required them to fashion a new piece from neckties, inspired by Jean Paul Gaultier. The made-to-measure challenge focused on Coco Chanel.
Judge Patrick Grant criticised one of Suzy's dresses for having 'clearly a rough job on the bottom hem'. Despite her efforts in the final challenge, she could not recover, and judges Patrick and Esme Young reluctantly sent her home.
Viewers expressed relief on social media, with one tweeting: 'Sighs of relief all round... #SewingBee.' Another wrote: 'Right decision, Suzy was definitely the weakest this week.' However, some fans voiced support for Suzy, saying she will be missed.
