Severance fans have expressed their excitement and impatience after a fresh update about season three from star and executive producer Adam Scott. The Apple TV+ sci-fi thriller, one of the biggest shows of 2025, left audiences desperate for more after season two ended on a massive cliffhanger.
In a recent interview with Variety, Scott, who plays Mark S, teased that the forthcoming season would be “great” and promised “so many surprises.” He added, “I can’t wait to shoot it.” However, he confirmed that Ben Stiller would not be directing on the show this time around.
Scott, also an executive producer on the series, revealed that he knows exactly how the story will end. “I’m involved in all of it,” he said, explaining that as an actor, he likes having “as much information as possible.”
Fans took to social media in droves after Scott’s comments. One person posted on X: “Most shows feel like they’re making it up as they go, but knowing the lead actor is an EP and has the 'full picture' means the payoffs for these mysteries are going to be insane. Season 3 cannot come fast enough.”
A second fan wrote: “Imagine knowing how it ends and still delivering suspense, that's next level.” A third commented: “Adam Scott really said ‘I know everything’ while the rest of us are still walking around like confused innies. Executive producer perks hit different. No spoilers tho, king — we’re not ready! S3 can’t come soon enough.”
Another added: “Adam Scott knows how Severance ends and I can't even find out what happens to my own innie. Not fair.” A fifth fan noted: “Exec producers usually know the whole story arc, Dan Harmon did the same with Rick and Morty, makes the acting process more nuanced when you know the entire narrative.”
A sixth person said: “Can't wait for all those surprises in Severance S3. Adam Scott knowing the full ending as EP must be wild. Excited for the cast to get back to filming.”
While season three is still some way off, the update has only intensified anticipation. Severance is streaming on Apple TV+ now.
