Selena Gomez has revealed a dramatic hair transformation on Instagram, swapping her trademark raven waves for luxurious mahogany curls. The 33-year-old singer and actress shared the news within a new album that primarily documented her filming the hit Hulu series Only Murders in the Building in London.
New Look Revealed
After sharing several shots of her adventures in the British capital, including moments with co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short, Gomez posted two pictures showcasing her striking new hairstyle. In one selfie, she sat on her bed wearing sweats and a crop top, angling the camera to highlight her curls. She also shared a mirror video of herself lounging in bed, with her reddish-brown locks cascading over her shoulders.
Gomez did not clarify whether the look was achieved with dye or a wig for the show, simply captioning the post: 'Wild things happening with @onlymurdershulu while adoring london.'
London Indulgences
Her filming schedule has allowed time to enjoy London's offerings, such as the upscale Indian restaurant Gymkhana in Mayfair. Gomez was spotted there last month, weeks after the venue hosted her longtime friend Taylor Swift and Swift's fiancé Travis Kelce.
When Gomez married music producer Benny Blanco in Santa Barbara last year, Swift attended and gave a speech. However, Gomez has allegedly declined multiple requests to be a bridesmaid at Swift's upcoming wedding to Kelce, as exclusively revealed by the Daily Mail. Gomez's latest hair revamp comes after her husband remarked that she 'has the diet of a five-year-old child,' in a conversation heard by the Daily Mail. Her unhealthy eating habits have long been known; in 2011, she was hospitalized for malnourishment.
'I do eat,' she explained previously. 'The problem is I don't eat right. I love M&M's, Kit Kats, Snickers and Goobers at the movies.'
Blanco made the disclosures while speaking to Gwyneth Paltrow at a private taping of an upcoming September episode of her Goop podcast. He described Gomez's preferences as 'whatever is bad for your diet,' noting her love of 'burgers and fries' and revealing that she ate Jack in the Box at 6:45 a.m. 'That is NOT Goop approved!' Paltrow exclaimed. However, Blanco noted that Gomez will eat food from Paltrow's takeout chain Goop Kitchen: 'She will eat the s*** out of Goop.'
Although Gomez 'doesn't really like fruits or vegetables,' she will order a Chinese chicken salad and eat 'everything on top of the salad,' leaving the greens for Blanco.
