Scott Cam has expressed fury after a leaked production schedule gave some contestants an unfair advantage on the set of The Block. The host confronted the teams following the master bedroom reveals, which judges had praised as among the best in the show's history.
In a promotional clip, Cam is seen addressing contestants at a group dinner, revealing that a photograph of the schedule was taken from his office and circulated around the site. 'It's beyond rude, it's a slap in the face to everyone involved,' he said, as the contestants sat in silence.
The leak included details of room reveals and challenge days, allowing teams to prepare in advance. The scandal has caused rifts among contestants, with heated exchanges between Mitch Edwards and Josh Packham, who called each other derogatory names. Contestant Ronnie Caceres labelled it 'the biggest cheating scandal in TV history'.
Speaking to Who magazine, Cam said he was 'disappointed' and 'angry', adding that the cheating compromised the integrity of the competition. The incident has also drawn reactions from co-host Shelley Craft, who told one individual, 'Yeah, but you were the cause of this.'
