Netflix Cancels Arnold Schwarzenegger's 'Fubar' After Two Seasons

Netflix has cancelled Arnold Schwarzenegger's action series 'Fubar' after two seasons, according to a report from Deadline. The show, which starred Schwarzenegger and Monica Barbaro as a father-daughter CIA duo, failed to maintain its initial audience.

Season one, released in 2023, was a modest hit, but season two struggled significantly. It peaked at number 10 in Netflix's Top 10 for English-language series in its first week, with 2.2 million views over its premiere weekend—a sharp drop from the 11 million views season one garnered in a comparable period. By week four, it had exited the rankings entirely.

Fans on social media expressed mixed reactions. Some admitted to abandoning the second season early, citing dullness and a decline in quality. One viewer commented: 'The second season was not that great. I stop watching midway. Plus they waited too long to bring it back.' Another said: 'Probably the biggest quality drop off between seasons I can think of.'

However, some were disappointed by the cancellation, praising Barbaro's performance. In the interim between seasons, Barbaro earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role in 'A Complete Unknown'. Season two also featured Carrie-Anne Moss as a former East German spy.
