Sally Nugent wowed BBC Breakfast viewers on Monday with a glamorous new hairstyle. The 54-year-old presenter appeared on the red sofa alongside Jon Kay, 56, sporting a bouncy blow-dry and fresh highlights, a departure from her usual straight or loosely curled locks.

Sally, who joined the BBC Breakfast team in 2021 after replacing Louise Minchin, also wore a yellow polka dot dress for the programme.
The positive reaction comes after an emotional segment the previous Monday, when Sally interviewed Ellen Roome MBE, whose 14-year-old son Jools died in 2022 after an online challenge. Ellen's campaign led to 'Jools' law', aimed at helping parents access social media accounts after a child's death.
During the interview, Sally became visibly moved, telling Ellen: 'You did it.' Ellen replied: 'You're crying, I thought I'd cry.' Ellen described herself as 'just a mum that stood up and said, this is wrong', and Sally called her 'so much more than a mum'.
