Disney+ series Rivals season two, part one has only just concluded, but there is some welcome news for devoted fans. The second series of the drama, adapted from Jilly Cooper's much-loved novel, has been divided into two halves, with the first part landing on 16th May.

Viewers have now watched all six opening episodes, with part one concluding on a nail-biting cliffhanger after it appeared that one Rutshire resident met their fate during the ferocious storm that battered the picturesque Cotswolds village.

The second series comprises 12 episodes in total, and fans are desperately eager for part two — here is everything we know so far.

When will Rivals season 2 episode 7 be released?

Disney+ has confirmed that Rivals season two, episode seven will arrive in November, when part two makes its eagerly awaited comeback. However, no firm premiere date has been set as yet, with audiences expected to receive further details closer to the release.

Viewers can look forward to six further drama-packed episodes when Rivals returns.

A brief teaser from the streaming platform reads: "Following a shocking turn of events in the sixth episode, the residents of Rutshire are rocked by tragedy, scandal and betrayal as the battle between Venturer and Corinium reaches breaking point."

Passions and affairs will continue to simmer in Rivals season 2 part 2.

Disney+ also released a short teaser for the second batch of episodes, which sees the rivalry between Tony Baddingham (played by David Tennant) and Declan O'Hara (Aidan Turner) intensify as the battle for the Cotswolds crown reaches fever pitch. Meanwhile, Rupert Campbell-Black (Alex Hassell) finds himself forced to confront his own inner turmoil.

Viewers can look forward to lavish parties, Bonfire Night mayhem and the prestigious Hampshire Hunt Ball. A tumultuous Christmas will also unfold as affairs come to light, alliances crumble and rivalries reach boiling point.

Amidst the ongoing drama surrounding the franchise battle, Taggie O'Hara (Bella Maclean) faces a difficult choice about whether to follow her heart, while others must reckon with the fallout from their ambition, influence and secrets they can no longer conceal.

New cast members in Rivals season 2 part 2

Season two, part two will also welcome several fresh faces, including Believe Me and Detectorists star Rachael Stirling as Araminta Pemberton, the younger sister of Lady Monica Baddingham (Claire Rushbrook). Additionally, Bridgerton and The Man in the High Castle star Rupert Evans takes on the role of headmaster David Hawkley. Finally, Big Little Lies star Santiago Cabrera appears as Argentinian polo legend Alejandro Mendoza.

Rivals season 2, part 2 will premiere on Disney+ in November.
