The Ritz in London is reopening its Secret Garden from 8 June, offering a secluded outdoor dining and drinking experience in Mayfair. The garden, described as an 'ethereal' mix of flowers and grasses, features hydrangeas, white wisteria, a water feature, and seating with parasols and canopies.
Access is subject to a strict smart casual dress code: shorts, ripped jeans, trainers, and sportswear are not permitted in any of the hotel's restaurants or bars. The garden is open daily throughout the summer, weather permitting, from 11am to 11pm.
Guests can enjoy cocktails, champagne, and wines, including the newly launched Ritz 120 cocktail celebrating the hotel's 120th anniversary. A menu of small plates, sandwiches, meat and fish dishes, and desserts will be available, with highlights such as Dorset Crab Brioche Roll and Red Mullet with Ratatouille and Bouillabaisse.
Live entertainment is scheduled on Thursday and Friday evenings, all day Saturday, and Sunday lunchtime. Cashmere throws from Johnstons of Elgin will be provided for cooler evenings. Designed by Marcus Barnett Studio and David Collins Studio, the garden is inspired by quintessential English gardens and is accessible via the Arlington Street entrance for all visitors, not just hotel guests.
