Richard Madeley, 69, appeared on Good Morning Britain on Monday with a cast on his right wrist, after sustaining a double fracture in a fall while on holiday in France last week.
Co-host Susanna Reid, 54, asked him to explain the injury at the start of the programme, noting it 'looked sore'. Madeley said he was walking quickly down a steep pavement on Friday when loose ground flipped him forward. 'I thought, am I going to win or is gravity going to win? And gravity won,' he said.
When asked about the pain, Madeley replied: 'I'm not discussing the pain threshold, we just don't think about pain.' He continued to present the show, covering topics including Greta Thunberg's aid boat being stopped by Israeli forces and anti-immigration protests in Los Angeles.
Madeley also interviewed comedian Jim Moir, known as Vic Reeves, who demonstrated making his bed in eight seconds. Madeley congratulated him with 'one hand clapping' due to his injury.
Viewers commented on social media, with some comparing his bandaged wrist to comedian Keith Lemon's signature look.
