Reuben Owen, star of Channel 5's Life in the Dales, shared a tender moment with his girlfriend Jessica Ellwood during Tuesday's episode. The young farmer, known for his machinery business on a 2,000-acre family farm in Swaledale, North Yorkshire, was moved by Jessica's romantic gesture.
While marking drill holes for a project, Jessica drew hearts among the designs. When Reuben noticed, she said, 'This is for you.' He replied, 'Aw, I love you too,' and they shared a kiss, prompting co-star Sonny Poulter to jokingly gag.
The couple, who met at a young farmers' convention, began dating in October 2024. Jessica, also a farmer on her parents' Brough Castle farm, said, 'Ever since we first met, we just clicked... I just love him to bits.'
Reuben told OK! magazine about their first date, where he lost his wallet and Jessica paid. He added that his family approves, noting, 'Mum and Jess get on well, they talk about sheep together.' The couple plans to move in together soon, hoping to find a farm where Reuben can park his diggers and Jessica can keep her sheep and cows.
