Challenging cases and emotional stories

"Pete witnesses first-hand the strength of dogs who've had the toughest starts in life. But alongside these emotional and heartbreaking cases are the moments that make it all worthwhile. Go on a journey with Pete as he supports vulnerable dogs through life-changing operations. Feel every emotion as he follows rescue dogs learning to trust again. And that's just the tip of the tail," reports Wales Online.

Viewers praise the series

While the show may have slipped under the radar for plenty of viewers, it's managed to cultivate a devoted following online. One glowing 10/10 review on IMDb gushed: "More episodes please! Great presenter!"

"Apologies but I don't know Pete wicks in whatever other shows he has stated in but I loved him in this show. I like to watch the various dog shows but sometimes tune out due to an over the top host/presenter. Pete is calm, empathetic and doesn't make the show all about him. It's about the dogs and the tireless staff of the rescues."

Another viewer shared their thoughts on X, posting: "I absolutely adored watching #ForDogsSake! Such an inspiring, heart-warming, uplifting show! The love for all of the dogs being looked after in the centres just shine through! Thank god for centres like these as very dog deserves a loving, safe home and a forever family!"

A further fan commented: "Absolutely heart-breaking but heart-warming to see how much they had progressed at the end of the programme. Pete, you are amazing!!!"
