Perrie Edwards has shared her thoughts on why her former Little Mix bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock is likely to be cast as a traitor on the upcoming series of Celebrity Traitors. The 32-year-old singer weighed in after Leigh-Anne, 34, was announced as part of the lineup for Claudia Winkleman's hit BBC show.
Perrie's Take on Leigh-Anne's Role
Speaking on the Hanging Out with Ant & Dec podcast, Perrie expressed her belief that Leigh-Anne would make a convincing traitor due to her playful and sometimes deceptive nature. "Oh, she is so annoying, I already know she is going to annoy me," Perrie said. "You don't understand how infuriating it is. She would lie about silly things, do pranks, and we'd be like, 'Leigh-Anne, that's...' and she'd be like 'it's a prank.' I'm like, 'that's not a prank, you've just lied, it's just annoying.' So I don't know if I've got it in me to watch her do that for a full series."
Leigh-Anne's Mischievous Side
Perrie elaborated on Leigh-Anne's penchant for mischief during their time in the band, suggesting that her ability to lie convincingly would serve her well in the game. Despite her enthusiasm for theorizing about her bandmate's role, Perrie admitted she has never watched The Traitors before. "I've never seen it, never! I can't get into it, but now I am going to have to because Leigh-Anne's on it," she said.
Star-Studded Lineup
Leigh-Anne joins a roster of celebrities including Michael Sheen, Jerry Hall, Richard E Grant, and Miranda Hart. Other notable names include BBC presenter Amol Rajan, The Last of Us actress Bella Ramsey, comedian James Acaster, singer James Blunt, comedy stars Joanne McNally and Joe Lycett, social media content creator King Henry, Industry actress Myha'la, BBC maths guru Professor Hannah Fry, Rob Beckett, Romesh Ranganathan, former EastEnders star Ross Kemp, My Mad Fat Diary star Sharon Rooney, and Game of Thrones actor Sebastian Croft.
Charity Focus
Unlike the regular series, celebrity contestants will donate any winnings from the potential £100,000 jackpot to their chosen charities. The show will follow the same format as the original, with Claudia Winkleman selecting the traitors.
Leigh-Anne's reaction to her casting was initially cryptic, as she posted two emojis—a looking eyes emoji and a face covering its hands—suggesting uncertainty about what she has signed up for.
