Disney+ has confirmed that the fifth season of Only Murders in the Building will premiere on 9th September. The new season will debut with three episodes, followed by weekly releases, and will consist of ten episodes in total.
The series continues to star the iconic trio of Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez. The first look image for season 5 shows the trio in a three wise monkeys pose, hinting at themes of 'see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil'.
Season 4 ended on a cliffhanger with the death of doorman Lester, found dead in the Arconia's fountain after the wedding of Oliver and Loretta. The official synopsis for season 5 reveals that Charles, Oliver, and Mabel refuse to believe Lester's death was an accident, leading them into a dangerous web of secrets involving billionaires, mobsters, and Arconia residents.
The cast for season 5 includes new additions such as Keegan-Michael Key, Christoph Waltz, Renée Zellweger, Logan Lerman, Jermaine Fowler, Bobby Cannavale, Téa Leoni, Beanie Feldstein, and Dianne Wiest. Returning stars include Michael Cyril Creighton, Meryl Streep, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Richard Kind, and Nathan Lane.
All previous seasons of Only Murders in the Building are available to stream on Disney+.
