Olivia Attwood, Pete Wicks Join Celebrity Gogglebox Apart

Olivia Attwood and her boyfriend Pete Wicks have both signed up for the new series of Celebrity Gogglebox, but they will not be appearing together on screen. The former Love Island star, 35, will instead be joined by her mother Jennifer on the Channel 4 show. Pete Wicks, known for his time on TOWIE, will continue to appear alongside his close friend Vicky Pattison, who confirmed they were filming again earlier this week.

New Celebrity Line-up

Other celebrities joining the upcoming series include Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and Matt Morsia, better known as Nitro and Legend from Gladiators, content creators Max Balegde and George Clark, comedian and actor Julian Clary, and actor and TV presenter Nigel Havers. The show will return to Channel 4 this Friday, June 5, at 9pm.

Olivia's Excitement

Olivia expressed her enthusiasm about appearing with her mother: "Doing Celebrity Gogglebox with my mum was chaotic but in the best possible way. It's not often that we agree on things, which I think the viewers may find entertaining. My family are huge fans of the show so it's a real honour to be a part of such an iconic British programme."

Gladiators Stars Tease Involvement

Matt Morsia joked about his participation: "Everyone knows how good I am at being on TV, but turns out I'm even better at watching it. Wow. Absolutely incredible sofa performance. Anyway, I had a great time on the show, and I need to say a massive thank you to Gogglebox for literally paying me to watch TV. What a time to be alive." His co-star Harry added: "Filming Celebrity Gogglebox was pure fun from start to finish, just a proper night-in full of laughs, brilliant TV, and plenty of unexpected moments. It was a really enjoyable experience and great fun to be part of."

Other Duos and Returns

George Clark, a runner-up on Strictly Come Dancing last year, said he "loved" the experience as it gave him an excuse to tease Max Balegde on national TV. Balegde said he was "so excited" to be back filming with Clark. Comedian Julian Clary described the show as an "absolute treat" and a "perfectly civilised way to spend an evening." More famous faces will be announced as the series airs. Returning cast members include Vernon Kay and Paddy McGuinness, Bez and Shaun, Roman and Martin Kemp, Ashley Banjo and Perri Kiely, Nick Grimshaw and his niece Liv, the Mangans, Denise Van Outen and Johnny Vaughan, Mo Gilligan and Babatunde Aleshe, and Rylan with his mother Linda.
