Olivia Attwood has revealed she is in discussions with ITV to become a 'permanent fixture' on This Morning, following her successful presenting debut alongside Dermot O'Leary earlier this summer. The 34-year-old former Love Island star told the Daily Mail that ITV has expressed interest in a longer-term contract after viewers praised her 'natural' style.
Attwood, who faced initial scepticism when her role was announced, said she felt at home during her first broadcast. 'Dermot was such a good person to host with, he held my hand through it,' she said. 'I felt like I had been doing it my whole life.' She added that her schedule is 'insane' but hopes to appear more regularly when slots become available.
Comparisons to Holly Willoughby, who fronted the show for 14 years before leaving in 2023, have been frequent. Attwood described them as 'a huge compliment', calling Willoughby 'an extremely successful broadcaster' and 'a household name'.
Meanwhile, Attwood addressed speculation about her marriage to footballer Bradley Dack after a photo emerged of friend Pete Wicks with his hand on her thigh during a holiday. She admitted the past six months have been 'challenging' due to their hectic schedules, saying: 'We constantly have to work at it... there are ups and downs.'
Attwood is now preparing for the second season of her show Bad Boyfriends, which begins on Sunday. The series features eight couples guided by Attwood through relationship issues, with partners signed up secretly by their girlfriends.
