Olivia Attwood Confirms This Morning Return After Illness

Television presenter Olivia Attwood has provided fans with a significant update about her professional future after a serious health scare forced her to withdraw from broadcasting duties last week.

Health Crisis Forces Last-Minute Withdrawal

The 34-year-old Love Island star was compelled to pull out of appearing on Loose Women moments before the show was due to air last Friday. Viewers noticed her absence when the episode began without her on the panel alongside Kaye Adams, Nadia Sawalha and Jane Moore.

Olivia took to social media to explain her sudden disappearance, writing: 'I'm really sorry to anyone that was expecting me to be on Loose Women today. Got to work and my body finally said no. Thank you to the team for looking after me. Back soon.'

She later revealed the severity of her condition through a TikTok video, confirming she had been diagnosed with both Strep Throat and the flu, leaving her feeling completely 'defeated'. Strep Throat is a contagious bacterial infection causing sore throat, fever, and swollen tonsils with white patches.

Future on This Morning Confirmed

During an Instagram Q&A session on Sunday, the former reality star addressed growing concerns about her career trajectory. When one fan directly asked: 'Are you still going to be a presenter on This Morning?', Olivia provided a definitive response.

She confirmed: 'Yeh I'm coming back for more - can't get rid of me now 2026', indicating her commitment to the ITV daytime programme extends for the foreseeable future.

This confirmation comes after her official introduction as part of the This Morning hosting team earlier this year. In June, she joined established presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley on the famous sofa, describing the opportunity as 'a huge honour'.

Olivia expressed her enthusiasm at the time, noting: 'I've grown up watching this show and having done Loose Women, this feels very natural.'

Addressing Personal Life Questions

Fans also questioned the absence of her husband, Bradley Dack, 31, during her illness, particularly after the couple recently acknowledged experiencing a 'difficult six months' in their relationship.

Olivia was quick to defend her footballer husband, explaining: 'My sweet angels! Loads of these. He has a job!! No flexibility in football. Your girl went to boarding school and moved out when I was 18. I have been looking after myself as long as I can remember.'

She reassured followers that 'If there was something serious, he would be back in an instant, I just need rest.'

The media personality shared glimpses of her challenging recovery period, including a photograph showing a medic attending to her at the ITV studios. She described herself as feeling at 'death's door' and admitted her struggle with being forced to rest, citing her 'half English, half German DNA' and ADHD as factors making sedentary recovery difficult.

Olivia shot to fame during the 2017 series of Love Island, reaching the final with her then-boyfriend Chris Hughes. Since then, she has built a substantial television career including appearances on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, The Only Way Is Essex, and fronting her own documentary programmes.
