Jennifer Lopez has been spotted on set in New York City, filming her upcoming romantic comedy Marry Me. The 50-year-old actress and singer wore a figure-hugging red sequinned dress as she shot scenes at an airport, showcasing her toned curves.
Lopez stars alongside Owen Wilson and Colombian singer Maluma in the film, which is based on a graphic novel by Bobby Crosby. The plot follows a pop singer who discovers her rocker boyfriend's infidelity moments before they are due to marry at Madison Square Garden. In a meltdown, she picks a random man from the audience to wed instead—a maths teacher played by Wilson, who holds a sign reading 'Marry Me.'
This project marks a return to the romantic comedy genre for Lopez, who previously starred in hits like Maid in Manhattan and The Wedding Planner. For Wilson, it is his first film role since 2017's Father Figures. The two previously worked together on the 1997 film Anaconda.
Lopez recently received critical acclaim for her role in Hustlers, which earned her a Golden Globe nomination. In a documentary, she was seen breaking down in tears as her producing partner read out positive reviews for the film, which has an 88% 'certified fresh' rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
