The Nolan Sisters are set to perform together for the first time in over four decades, with all five surviving siblings taking the stage in a historic reunion. The performance will feature Denise, who last performed with the group in 1978, and Coleen, who joined in 1980 and has never shared the stage with Denise before.
The reunion will take place during the second series of their show Nolans Go Cruising, airing on Quest Red and Discovery+ later this year. The series holds particular significance for Linda Nolan, who learned her incurable cancer had spread to her liver shortly after the first series aired in early 2020.
Linda and her sister Anne were both diagnosed with breast cancer during the pandemic. Anne is currently cancer-free, while Linda manages her condition with daily chemotherapy tablets. Despite her health challenges, Linda expressed her excitement: “I’m delighted to be back with my sisters on another cruise. We had so much fun on our last trip and it’s great all five of us are doing it this time around!”
The sisters also marked the eighth anniversary of Bernie Nolan’s death from secondary breast cancer by planting a tree in her honour at Minterne House in Dorset. Denise said: “I’m so excited to be joining my sisters on the cruise and to be sharing a stage with them after so long! I know Bernie will be up there cheering us on!”
Due to the pandemic, the cruise will sail around the UK instead of the Mediterranean. Coleen Nolan said: “I can’t wait to be setting sail with my sisters again, letting our hair down and exploring the UK coast together is just what we needed right now. There will be laughs, joy, sisterly bonding and emotional moments!”
