Norfolk-born Nick Aldis made his long-awaited first WWE ring-walk to Oasis' "Morning Glory", the title track from Oasis's second album, as he faced Gunther at SummerSlam 2026 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
His entrance wowed retired wrestler and commentator Wade Barrett from Preston, Lancs, who struggled to make himself heard over the crowd. "This is Nick Aldis making his WWE debut at SummerSlam 2026 to the biblical tunes of Oasis," he shouted. "It's every Englishman's dream. Are you mad fer it?"
Triple H reveals Aldis' 'fantasy' music
WWE chief content officer Paul 'Triple H' Levesque later said the Burnage brothers were Aldis' fantasy choice. "A couple weeks ago we were talking about music and I said give me your fantasy what's the biggest fantasy…he was like 'what about Oasis?'. I said 'maybe no, but let's see and meanwhile let's work on something else.' I was thrilled a few days ago to tell him 'Oasis is in dude, we're doing it'."
Fans and defeat
Aldis, known for his time with Impact Wrestling/TNA, lost his debut by submission to the 'Career Killer'. Still, his walk-on impressed fans. Writing on X, Gabriel Jonathan said: "Am I seeing things or did he kinda do the Liam strut?" Richard added: "Coolest thing WWE has done in a long time."
