Netflix has revealed its five most-watched films globally, featuring a mix of animation, action, true crime, and mystery. The list includes two new entries and a title that has spent four consecutive weeks in the charts.
Topping the countdown is Goat, an animated sports comedy with a star-studded voice cast including Caleb McLaughlin, David Harbour, Nicola Coughlan, and Jennifer Hudson. The film follows Will Harris, a talking goat who dreams of playing professional roarball, a basketball-like sport. Released earlier this month, it has earned an 84% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes and a 92% audience score.
In second place is Apex, a Netflix original action thriller starring Charlize Theron and Taron Egerton. The film, now in its fourth week on the chart, follows Sasha (Theron) on a solo expedition in Australia where she is hunted by a serial killer. Critics have given it a 66% Tomatometer rating, while audiences score it lower at 47%.
New true crime documentary The Crash has entered the list, described by viewers as 'gut-wrenching'. It investigates a 2022 car crash in Strongsville, Ohio, that killed two teenagers and left a third survivor, 17-year-old Mackenzie Shirilla, as police uncover evidence of foul play.
Rounding out the top five is Remarkably Bright Creatures, a mystery film starring Sally Field, based on Shelby Van Pelt's 2022 novel. Despite its surreal premise, the film has been praised as a heartwarming watch.
