Netflix has renewed its teen drama series My Life with the Walter Boys for a fourth season, even before the release of its third season. The show, which has been described by fans as addictive and superior to The Summer I Turned Pretty, continues to attract a loyal following.
Renewal Announced Ahead of Season Three
The streaming giant gave the green light for a fourth season while production on the third season wrapped back in November 2025. The second season aired in August 2025, competing directly with The Summer I Turned Pretty on Prime Video. Although no release date for season three has been announced, fans anticipate its return soon.
Plot and Cast
Based on Ali Novak's 2012 novel, the series follows Jackie Howard, played by Nikki Rodriguez, a Manhattanite who moves to Silver Falls, Colorado, after her parents and sister die in a car crash. She goes to live with her godparents, George (Marc Blucas) and Katherine Walter (Sarah Rafferty), and their nine children—eight boys and one girl. Jackie finds herself in a love triangle between brothers Alex (Ashby Gentry) and Cole (Noah LaLonde), similar to the premise of The Summer I Turned Pretty.
Fan Reactions
Fans have praised the series online, with one IMDb user stating, "This is so much better than The Summer I Turned Pretty and honestly deserves a watch." They added, "Love the dynamics of all the characters and chemistry between them." Another fan wrote in a 9/10 review, "I refuse to apologise for finishing this show within less than a week. It was addictive, easy to binge, and I was invested." A third reviewer titled their 10/10 review "Better than other triangle teen romances" and declared, "This series is much better than The Summer I Turned Pretty in many ways." Yet another fan said, "I can't describe how good it is. It makes me want to watch it over and over again."
My Life with the Walter Boys season 3 is expected to be released on Netflix later this year.
