The Netflix horror series 'Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen' has unveiled its shocking finale, revealing the bloody consequences of a family curse. The show, which follows bride Rachel Harkin (Camila Morrone) and groom Nicky Cunningham (Adam DiMarco), builds towards a grisly climax where the curse transfers to Nicky's family after he refuses to marry Rachel.
Throughout the series, Rachel learns that her family is cursed: if she marries someone who is not her true soulmate, she will die a painful death. The curse originated when a bride made a deal with Death to resurrect her groom, but Death stipulated that the groom must be her soulmate, and cursed their offspring to marry their true soulmate or die. The curse can be transferred to another bloodline if a couple fails to marry by sunset on their wedding day.
In the finale, Nicky decides he cannot go through with the wedding, leading to a heated argument. Rachel realises they are not soulmates, and the curse transfers to Nicky's family. It then emerges that the curse applies to any couple who has previously married, causing multiple guests and family members, including Nicky's sister Portia (Gus Birney) and mother Victoria (Jennifer Jason Leigh), to die suddenly, bleeding from their eyes and ears.
To stop further deaths, Nicky and his father trick Rachel into completing the wedding ceremony. However, Rachel's nose begins to bleed, and she collapses, dying alone while Nicky comforts his dying sister. In a final twist, Rachel is resurrected because the old man who originally transferred the curse to the Harkins dies as the curse moves to the Cunninghams. Rachel now assumes his role, forced to witness every wedding in the Cunningham family line until the curse transfers again.
All eight episodes of 'Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen' are now streaming on Netflix.
