With such an abundance of choice, deciding what to watch next can be difficult. What constitutes the very 'best' is subjective, yet fans have lavished praise on one particular show — even though it came to an end six years ago.
The series in question is the German sci-fi mystery thriller Dark, which ran for three seasons from 2017 until 2020. The plot centres on the disappearance of children in the fictional German town of Winden. It follows four families in their pursuit of answers, before they ultimately uncover a complex time travel conspiracy stretching across generations. The story kicks off in 2019, though characters also venture through the 1980s and 1990s via time travel, while additional storylines unfold in 2053.

Dark has garnered widespread critical acclaim for its storytelling, performances, writing, and more. Yet some devoted fans are convinced it has not reached a wide enough audience.
