The hosts of BBC's Morning Live, Gethin Jones and Helen Skelton, congratulated their co-star Neil Jones live on air this week after he revealed he and his wife, Chyna Mills, are expecting another baby.
The Strictly Come Dancing professional shared the news on Instagram earlier this week. The monochrome clip featured the couple and their daughter, Havana, strolling through a field before showing Chyna's baby bump. Neil kissed her stomach before the couple lifted Havana into the air.
On-air celebration
During Tuesday's (November 3) show, Gethin said: "Neil's on Strictly Fitness today. Before we get into that though, you've had some exciting news that you've been [keeping]. I mean, you've kept it pretty secret, [until] yesterday!"
"I know! I'm gonna be a daddy again," Neil replied, moments before the studio erupted in applause. "Congratulations!" Helen said.
An image of Neil, Chyna and their daughter, Havana, was subsequently displayed on screen, as Gethin said: "So, there's the fam. And you're adding to the clan. How are you feeling about it?"
Family reactions
Neil shared: "Good! I'm excited," before Gethin added: "More importantly, how's Chyna feeling about it?" The professional dancer continued: "She's feeling incredible. I'm taking care of her, well, not this week, but normally I'm taking care of her! [Making] sure she has all the meals and everything she needs."
Helen shared: "Aw, you're a good match," before Gethin noted: "There's going to be some fireworks in the Jones household over the next few months, which is actually our theme for Strictly Fitness, isn't it?"
In anticipation of Bonfire Night and Diwali festivities, Neil opted to "light up the skies" with his selection for the Strictly Fitness segment. He guided audiences through mastering the Samba shimmy from Fleur East and Vito Coppola's 2022 routine.
Audience congratulations
BBC audiences wasted no time expressing their congratulations after Neil spoke about his baby news on air. "Congratulations, Neil. Wonderful news," one individual posted on Instagram.
Another added: "Fantastic news, absolutely love Neil," while a third said: "Love Neil, absolute personality on the show and cracks me up on his socials. He deserves all the good things [heart emoji]."
Someone else echoed the sentiment, saying: "Such a lovely couple. Couldn't be more thrilled! Another little one! Another blessing! Congratulations @mr_njonesofficial @chymills_ and big sister!"
Morning Live is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
