Miranda Hart reveals Celebrity Traitors mistakes

Miranda Hart, who was murdered by the Traitors on Celebrity Traitors just days before the series finale, has said she would not repeat her "bouncing floor theory" if she played the game again. The comedian, 53, was eliminated from the BBC show after the Traitors decided to remove her from the competition because of her strong theories throughout the game.

No Strategy, Just Instinct

Hart was one of the first players to notice a shift in Professor Hannah Fry's behaviour after Fry had been recruited by the Traitors. Appearing on Thursday's (October 29) episode of This Morning, Hart discussed her Traitors journey with hosts Dermot O'Leary and Sian Welby.

When asked if she would change anything about her gameplan, Hart said: "I genuinely had no strategy or theory. I just played it how I wanted to play. But looking back, I would not have said the bouncing floor theory and I wouldn't have taken [Joanne McNally's] side. I would have just stepped back a bit."

The Bouncing Floor Theory

Hart's "bouncing floor theory" could have unmasked lead Traitor Maya Jama. She created the theory during a high-stakes blindfold challenge, where the Traitors could sabotage the Faithfuls right under their noses. The Traitors were allowed to remove their blindfolds at specific moments during the game and reverse the Faithfuls' progress.

Hart was standing between Traitor Maya and fellow Faithful Joanne McNally and noticed the floorboards moving beside her during moments when Faithfuls were forced to stand still, meaning she had a Traitor near her. However, Hart incorrectly assumed that McNally was the Traitor, which left McNally frustrated.

Fans React to Her Exit

Hart later announced that she had "debunked" the theory during the roundtable vote. However, some players became suspicious after her sudden change of heart. Fans were left devastated by Hart's exit, with one viewer posting: "THEY KILLED MIRANDA NO #TheTraitors #TheCelebrityTraitors," while a second said: "WHY MIRANDA WHY?! #CelebrityTraitors."

Others shared kind words, with a Reddit user saying: "She was the best faithful of this bunch. The best detective and the best vibes too." The Celebrity Traitors continues tonight at 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
