Michelle Keegan to Lead ITV Thriller 'The Blame'

ITV has announced a gripping new six-part drama, 'The Blame', starring Michelle Keegan and Douglas Booth. The series, based on Charlotte Langley's debut novel, follows the investigation into the death of teenage figure skater Sophie Madsen in the town of Wakestead.

Keegan plays DI Emma Crane, who alongside DI Tom Radley (Booth), uncovers a web of lies, institutional cover-ups and moral compromise. The cast also includes Ian Hart, Nathan Mensah, Nigel Boyle, Joe Armstrong and Matilda Freeman.

Written and executive produced by Megan Gallagher, the series is produced by Quay Street Productions. ITV's Director of Drama Polly Hill praised the show as a 'brilliant new crime thriller full of surprising twists'. Filming begins in and around London this summer, with a release date yet to be announced.
