Michael Sheen and James Blunt Criticised as Useless Traitors Faithfuls

Michael Sheen and James Blunt are steering the Faithfuls in the wrong direction on Celebrity Traitors, with the latest episode ending in frustration as the group failed to identify any Traitors. The pair led the way in deciding who should get a "game-changing power" after the Field of Screams mission, believing they had uncovered a Traitor in Sharon Rooney, who appeared flustered during the challenge. However, neither assumption proved correct.

Faithfuls Far From Finding Traitors

The Faithfuls are miles away from catching the Traitors, with little heat on Maya Jama, James Acaster, and Kenny. Host Claudia Winkleman even joked to the trio, "What are the chances?" as they chose who would receive a double vote at the Round Table. The lack of progress has made the game too easy for the Traitors so far.

James Blunt is currently convinced that James Acaster is a Faithful, but he is wrong. Michael Sheen, described as an award-winning actor with intelligence and a calm manner, has proven to be a useless Faithful so far. James Blunt, "blunt by name, blunt by nature," has also failed to catch the Traitors.

Round Table Tensions and Wrong Suspicions

Michael went in hard on Sharon Rooney, which seemed harsh and ultimately off the mark. She didn't help herself by looking guilty, but a lack of confidence can often be mistaken for guilt at the Round Table. Next week, either Sharon or Joanne McNally will be banished, with Michael and Leigh-Anne also under suspicion, meaning the group would still be wildly wrong even if they changed tactics.

The wrong decisions at the Mission and the Round Table made the final half of the episode less enthusiastic viewing. When the banishment is between two Faithfuls and no Traitors are involved, the stakes feel lower.

Hope Remains for the Faithfuls

The show peaked with the sad news of Miranda Hart being murdered. Despite being on screen for about a minute, she stole the show with her speech about how much the series meant to her. There is still hope for the Faithfuls, as this time last year on the celebrity version, they hadn't found a single Traitor, but in 2026 they've already booted out Richard E Grant and Hannah Fry. However, just like last year with Alan Carr, the Traitors, particularly Maya Jama, look like they could steal the money in the final.
