During the final, viewers saw Sammy and Jess's highlights instead of Whitney and Lochan's, and later the autocue prompted Maya to introduce the same montage again, but it did not air, leaving the studio in awkward silence. Maya quickly corrected herself and moved on, later joking on social media: 'That best bits situation keeps rattling everyone!'
In a post on Instagram, Maya wrote: 'Just watched back the final and so cute. Also had my first live autocue going down situation and I am bloody proud of the way I handled it (presenters will know how much of a madness that is).' She also expressed excitement for the upcoming reunion episode.
