DIY SOS has aired its final episode, and BBC viewers will see MasterChef: The Professionals take over its Tuesday night slot next week.
The long-running renovation show concluded on Tuesday night (October 28), with Nick Knowles, his team, and volunteers helping a family in need transform their home one last time. The BBC star recently announced the programme will not return next year and is being put on 'pause'.
MasterChef: The Professionals takes the slot
Instead of DIY SOS, the first episode of the new series MasterChef: The Professionals will air on Tuesday night. Marcus Wareing and Monica Galetti will begin their search for the next culinary star.
Ahead of the final DIY SOS episode, Nick took to Instagram to give fans an update on the show, admitting it was "quite an emotional one". He commented: "We have been told that the programme has been shelved, not ended."

He added: "But I have asked the question, will it ever come back in the form it is, where it builds whole houses for people or builds these great, big, hospices and charity places, and I've been told, no, if it comes back in the future, it'll be smaller, more cost-effective."
The BBC star thanked fans for their support over the years, calling the last episode the "end of an era". He continued: "I thought I'd be okay with that, but actually it's a little bit emotional."
He said: "I'd like to thank everybody that we've worked with for the last 26 years. If you volunteered, if you're a tradesperson, if you're a supplier, and you supplied all the stuff for free, love you all. It's been an honour to work with you all. We've loved every minute of it."
BBC confirms spin-off show
Speaking about the show being paused, a BBC spokesperson said: "In light of the BBC's savings challenges, we have taken the decision to rest DIY SOS in 2027 and commission a new spin-off show instead from producers South Shore."
"DIY SOS Rebuilt My Life will revisit successes from the show's past and expand the brand on the BBC in a more cost-effective way next year."
