Viewers of The Masked Singer are convinced that the character Toastie is being voiced by soul legend Mica Paris, after a clue in the pre-recorded video segment went unnoticed by the panel. The clue featured several famous faces from Bolton, which fans interpreted as a reference to Paris's duet with Michael Bolton.
Despite the panel not making the connection, social media users were quick to point out the link. One fan wrote on X: 'Toastie is definitely Mica Paris. I'd be willing to stake money on it.' Another agreed: 'So Toastie has to be Mica Paris. Unmistakable voice.'
Toastie performed Benson Boone's 'Beautiful Things' on Saturday's episode and is among the favourites to win the seventh series. Betting odds have been slashed on Paris being the singer behind the mask, although her name has not yet been mentioned by the judges.
Other contestants in the running include Arctic Fox, widely believed to be Strictly judge Anton Du Beke, and Moth, who fans think is Sugababes star Keisha Buchanan.
