Married At First Sight UK experts have stepped in after bride Sarah made a series of 'disrespectful' comments about her husband Dean during the first dinner party. The couple, who wed in the debut episode, have faced tension as Sarah openly admitted she was not attracted to Dean.
In scenes set to air on E4, Sarah told fellow participants she had the 'ick' and described Dean as 'annoying' and 'like a care bear'. Expert Mel Schilling labelled the comments 'cruel', while Charlene Douglas said Sarah's behaviour was 'humiliating' for Dean.
During the honeymoon, Sarah had already sparked backlash by suggesting Dean could 'get some tattoos and lose some weight' to improve their sexual chemistry. The experts watched from afar as Sarah continued to criticise her husband, prompting a confrontation.
At the commitment ceremony, expert Paul C Brunson angrily told Sarah: 'This man is talking about how lovely his partner is, and you are on the other side disrespecting him!' Sarah later broke down in tears, telling cameras: 'That's not me, that's not who I am.'
