Married At First Sight UK experts were forced to step in during the first dinner party after bride Sarah made a series of 'disrespectful' comments about her husband Dean. The couple, who wed in the debut episode, appeared together but Sarah quickly expressed disappointment to other participants, stating she wasn't attracted to Dean and found his high energy 'annoying'.
Sarah told the group that Dean calls himself 'the funny fat kid' and described him as 'like a care bear' rather than a bad boy. Expert Mel Schilling remarked that Sarah's comments were 'quite cruel', while Charlene Douglas labelled them 'humiliating' for Dean. The experts watched on as Sarah repeatedly mocked her husband, with Mel adding that it was 'getting really frustrating to watch'.
During the honeymoon, Sarah had already sparked backlash by suggesting Dean could 'get some tattoos and lose some weight' to create a sexual spark. In a teaser for the next episode, expert Paul C Brunson confronts Sarah, telling her: 'This man is talking about how lovely his partner is, and you are on the other side disrespecting him!' Sarah is seen breaking down in tears, telling cameras: 'That's not me, that's not who I am.'
