Married at First Sight UK will return for its tenth series on Sunday, September 21 at 9pm on E4. The show will air four nights a week from Sunday to Wednesday during its initial weeks, a change from the previous Monday-to-Thursday schedule.
Producers have promised increased drama for the new series, following last year's explosive season which featured Kristina Goodsell discovering her husband lived in woodland and wore dentures before they separated. The 2024 series also included the show's first deaf contestant, Sacha and Ross, who split two weeks after filming due to living arrangement issues.
New participants include Divarni Groce Balogun, a London performer and musician who has appeared in Netflix productions such as Half Bad, Riches, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, and Marvel's The Marvels. He also featured on ITV's Dinner Date in 2021 under the name Ashley. Another contestant, Julia-Ruth Smith, appeared on the ninth series of Are You the One? in 2023 and has worked as a backing dancer for rapper 50 Cent.
For the first time, cameras will capture participants throughout their entire journey, including hen and stag parties before the weddings. A television source told The Sun: 'The programme makers know that the process on MAFS already delivers some sensational moments, but this will just add to that. Capture all of that on camera and then throw it into the mix and you have some dynamite telly.'
Relationship experts Paul C Brunson, Charlene Douglas, and Mel Schilling will return to mentor the couples. Mel was spotted in Cardiff earlier this year during Pride Cymru celebrations, while Paul is set to bring a live show to Cardiff's New Theatre on October 29.
