Married At First Sight UK expert Paul C Brunson challenged couple Anita and Paul during the commitment ceremony, asking them to clarify their issues after both expressed similar desires for love and support.
Anita admitted she had reservations about Paul, describing him as 'not the silver fox' she had envisioned and finding his energy 'overwhelming' and 'frantic'. Paul confessed that married life had been 'difficult at times'.
During the ceremony, Brunson asked each what they were looking for. Anita said 'a partner in crime' and Paul said 'someone to cry and laugh with'. When Brunson noted their answers were similar, he asked: 'Okay, so what's the problem?'
Anita later acknowledged that Paul is a 'lovely man' and 'the gentleman I asked for', but her daughter-in-law Jodie questioned whether Paul could be serious. Anita admitted she hopes attraction will develop over time.
