Love Island USA Becomes Peacock's First No. 1 on Nielsen Streaming Chart

For the first time ever, a Peacock original series has topped Nielsen's weekly streaming chart. 'Love Island USA' reached the No. 1 overall spot during the week of July 7 to 13, generating 1.9 billion minutes watched in the U.S. This is the highest weekly total for the series and a milestone for the streaming service.

The reality dating show's seventh season, which concluded on July 13, drove unprecedented viewership. Over its six-week run, the series amassed 8.8 billion minutes of viewing, with 54% coming from adults aged 18-34, making it the top streaming title among under-35 viewers by a wide margin.

Second place went to the Canadian series 'Sullivan's Crossing', which debuted on Netflix on July 8 and drew 1.35 billion minutes. 'Squid Game' followed with 1.25 billion minutes, dropping from its previous No. 1 position. Prime Video's 'Ballard', a 'Bosch' spinoff, also performed well with 1.03 billion minutes in its first week, driven largely by viewers over 50.

Other notable streaming originals included 'The Sandman' with 642 million minutes and 'Poker Face' with 312 million minutes following its Season 2 finale. On the film side, 'Madea's Destination Wedding' led, while 'Zombies 4: Rise of the Vampires' drew 274 million minutes in its release week.
