Love Island has confirmed a dramatic dumping twist, with six Islanders at risk of being eliminated just days before the final. The couples facing the axe are Adam Collard and Paige Thorne, Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope, and Jamie Allen and Danica Taylor, as revealed in Tuesday night's public vote result.
It appears the unlucky Islanders have already left the villa, but viewers will not discover their fate until Wednesday night when the scenes air. The Islanders were gathered around the fire pit when they learned a dumping was imminent, with the public deciding who would go.
The tension escalated as Andrew Le Page received a text stating: 'The couple with the fewest votes and therefore dumped from the island is...' The episode ended with the at-risk couples standing before the saved Islanders, awaiting their fate.
Meanwhile, fans have expressed disappointment over the absence of certain challenges this series, particularly the popular Twitter challenge. Love Island producers have reportedly confirmed that the fan-favourite task will not return this year, despite a hint over the weekend when the show's official Twitter account added a disclaimer to its bio.
The Twitter challenge, which sees Islanders guess tweets from viewers, has previously sparked explosive scenes. However, the eighth series will not feature it, leaving fans frustrated as the show approaches its final week.
