Love Island fans believe they have identified the final four couples following a 'telling scene' in Monday's episode. The ITV show's 2024 series finale is set for July 29, but viewers are convinced that two couples may not make it after spotting an 'obvious' sign.
During Monday's episode, the aftermath of the Grafties awards night was shown, including a disagreement between Joey Essex and his partner Jessy Potts, and Sean Stone being grilled by the villa for his behaviour. Later, the couples were seen in bed, with most appearing loved-up. However, viewers noticed that Joey and Jessy, as well as Sean and Matilda Draper, had their backs to each other.
Taking to social media, fans speculated that this body language indicated the two couples might not reach the final four. One user wrote: 'SEAN AND JOEY FACING THE OTHER WAY TO THEIR GIRLS. THE FINAL FOUR HAS BEEN LOCKED IN ALREADY.' Another commented: 'my final four is becoming clearer each day.' A third said: 'I better not see Sean, Matilda, Joey and Jessy in the final.'
Elsewhere in the episode, Joey faced a telling-off during the meet-the-parents segment. His sister Frankie Essex advised him to stop talking about his ex Grace Jackson, who is also in the villa. Jessy's mother also criticised Joey's behaviour towards Grace, saying: 'If you've had some kind of relationship with somebody in the past just show them a bit of respect afterwards. I think Grace needs a little bit of that from you.'
Love Island continues nightly at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
