Loose Women Extended by 15 Minutes for World Cup

Loose Women, the ITV daytime talk show, is set for a temporary shake-up this week, with episodes extended by 15 minutes each day from Monday, June 29, through the rest of the week, excluding Thursday, July 2. The change was announced by panellist Kaye Adams during Monday's broadcast, attributing the extra time to the World Cup.

Kaye Adams Reveals Extension Details

Adams told viewers: "We're with you for a bit longer today, our own extra time due to the World Cup." She outlined that the extended shows would feature a series called "Sort Out Your Summer," delving into topics such as the royals, finance, health, and skincare, with experts on hand.

Laura Whitmore Joins the Panel

The Monday episode welcomed presenter Laura Whitmore, who discussed her true crime podcast with husband Iain Stirling. Adams noted that true crime is a favourite subject of both Whitmore and fellow panellist Denise Welch. Before the conversation, the panel acknowledged Whitmore's recent arrival: her second child, born in May. Whitmore described the birth as "unexpectedly early and with dramatic flair."

Whitmore on Motherhood and Routine

Whitmore shared that her eldest child, aged four, has adjusted well to having a younger sibling, joking: "Basically, I have a mini PA who is helping me out. I just don't have to pay her, it's great!" She admitted to feeling guilty about being away from the baby but noted that they had established a routine with the older child.

Loose Women's Usual Schedule

Loose Women typically airs for 30 weeks a year, scaled back from a 52-week run, broadcasting from 12:30pm to 1:30pm following This Morning. This week's extension adds 15 minutes to each episode, except on Thursday. Loose Women is available weekdays on ITV from 12:30pm.
