Jeremy Clarkson has criticised his girlfriend Lisa Hogan's choice to go cold water swimming, urging her to get out so they could head to the pub instead. The exchange took place while filming an episode of the Amazon Prime Video show Clarkson's Farm.
According to The Mirror, Lisa, 63, suggested a Saturday wild swim, but Jeremy was unimpressed. He reportedly barked at her to 'get out' of the water, claiming 'being drunk is better' than wild swimming. Lisa was seen in the water with a swimming cap, and when Jeremy asked what she was doing, she replied: 'Just loitering in cold water.'
Jeremy then demanded to know why they weren't at the pub and suggested they go home and read a book. Lisa tried to convince him to join, saying it was 'the best high you could ever get,' but Jeremy insisted he had tried polar training and found it awful. He concluded: 'And trust me I've been drunk - and I've been in cold water - and being drunk is better.'
The incident comes after Jeremy broke his silence on quitting The Grand Tour after five series. He told The Times that the trio—including Richard Hammond and James May—had 'done everything you can do with a car' and that it was time for the 'immensely physical' show to end, branding himself 'unfit, fat and old'.
Jeremy dismissed suggestions of a feud with his co-hosts, saying they had spent more time together than with their families over the past 25 years. He revealed that options for a 'new incarnation' of the show were being explored, potentially reuniting the trio on screen.
