The revival of the beloved sitcom Scrubs continues this week with returning original cast members and some new faces. In the latest episode, titled 'My Angel', JD decides to start dating again after divorcing Elliot, and meets a harpist named Lily in the hospital lobby.
Lily, who plays her instrument near the gift shop, is portrayed by comedian and actress Lisa Gilroy. The 35-year-old Canadian comic is known for her viral videos and appearances on comedy podcasts, as well as roles in shows like Shrinking, A Man on the Inside, and Black Mirror's seventh season.
Fans quickly identified Gilroy, with a Reddit thread asking: 'Is that ...a wild Lisa Gilroy or am I tripping?' Other viewers confirmed her appearance, with one describing her as 'one of the best and most unhinged female improv comedians around'.
The new season ignores the events of the ninth season and continues the adventures of JD and Turk, played by Zach Braff and Donald Faison. While some original characters like the Janitor have not yet returned, the revival continues the tradition of notable guest stars.
