Ant McPartlin's ex-wife Lisa Armstrong delighted fans on Friday by posting a stunning throwback photo from her 90s pop star days. The Strictly Come Dancing make-up artist, 49, shared a snap of herself in a skimpy red bikini, lounging poolside with a bandana, beaming as she poked fun at her overly plucked eyebrows typical of the era.
Deuce Band Memories
Armstrong also posted a photo with her former bandmates from Deuce, the group formed in 1994 by manager Tom Watkins, known for his work with Pet Shop Boys and East 17. The band, which included Craig Robert Young, Kelly O'Keefe, and Paul Holmes, achieved four top 30 singles in the UK before disbanding in 1997.
Mourning Beloved Dog Hurley
The throwback comes as Armstrong and her ex-husband Ant McPartlin are grieving the loss of their 12-year-old Labrador, Hurley, who was euthanized in February after a battle with illness. Hurley was a central figure in their lives and even became a point of contention during their acrimonious 2018 divorce.
McPartlin reportedly rushed from a Britain's Got Talent press conference to join Armstrong at the veterinary clinic, where they agreed to let Hurley go. The TV presenter had previously spoken of his deep bond with the dog, describing him as a loyal companion who never judged him.
In a 2019 interview, McPartlin said: 'There's a loyalty and a love and a companionship with Hurley that you can't describe. He never tells me off and is always pleased to see me.'
During the divorce, McPartlin insisted on shared custody of Hurley, telling lawyers: 'She can have anything she wants – except the dog.' The arrangement required his chauffeur to transport the dog between homes to avoid direct contact.
The couple adopted Hurley in 2013 while struggling to conceive during their 13-year marriage. Armstrong frequently posted about Hurley on Instagram, calling him her 'baby boy.' Her last post featuring him marked International Dog Day in August 2023.
McPartlin, now married to his former assistant Anne-Marie Corbett, became a father in May 2024 with the birth of their son Wilder. The couple also has two Maltipoos, Milo and Bumble.
