Lego Group has unveiled its Christmas 2026 advert, The Lego Holiday Workshop, featuring a star-studded cast and set to Daft Punk's hit track "One More Time." The promotional clip follows a single Lego brick on a journey through a festive workshop, with appearances from characters across the Lego universe.
A Brick's Journey Through the Workshop
The advert opens with Daft Punk as Lego minifigures in their signature helmets, racing through snow toward a glowing yellow door. Alongside F1 Academy driver Esmee Kosterman and Yeti minifigures, they realise they are late for work. As the door opens, they pass through a neon portal into the Lego Holiday Workshop, where the brick travels through departments including Northern Lights, Heroes, Vehicles and Music.
In the Heroes section, Thor, Doctor Doom and Mystique channel their abilities into the brick, while Yeti minifigures unleash cold blasts. The brick then moves to Vehicles, where engineer minifigures and two unicorns give it race-car acceleration. It eventually hurtles into Music, gliding above a Daft Punk concert as the duo activate their powers on an LED Pyramid stage, before vanishing into a vortex and landing in a Lego gift bag.
An Emotional Goodbye and a Festive Finale
The journey climaxes in a touching scene as the team reluctantly releases their creations, with E.T., K-Pop Demon Hunters' Derpy Tiger, the NINJAGO Twin Titans and other minifigures offering an emotional goodbye. The setting shifts to a cosy living room at Christmas, where a young girl begins to open her present. A sharp bang on the window reveals the Lego Workshop team, faces pressed against the glass, unable to say goodbye. As "One More Time" plays again, the crew joins the family, highlighting that the best part of gifting a Lego set is building it together.
The advert is directed by Michael Gracey, the Oscar-, Golden Globe- and BAFTA-nominated director of The Greatest Showman and Better Man. Gracey said: "I loved the concept that behind this secret door, there might be an entire world you never knew existed. And with LEGO bricks, that world really could be anything."
Creative Team and Partnership
Gracey added: "We decided to tell the story through the eyes of one little LEGO brick, following its journey through this extraordinary workshop as it passes from one character to the next. I love that something so small connects so many iconic characters from completely different universes as they each contribute to a single creation." He also noted: "At its heart, it's an idea I've always believed in — that there's something incredibly joyful about making something with your own hands, but perhaps, an even greater joy in giving it to someone else."
Remi Marcelli, SVP Global Brand Development at Lego Group, commented: "Seeing our newly announced partnership with DAFT PUNK™ putting on such a fun twist to our Holiday Ad feels incredible." Marcelli added: "Like LEGO building, this iconic song connects generations and celebrates the power of creativity to bring people together and lose themselves in the moment. I can’t imagine a better track to kick off the LEGO Holiday season, and I hope the campaign sparks joy and creative excitement for families everywhere."
