Eurovision is turning 70, and a new special edition titled 'Legends of Eurovision' has been released to mark the milestone. Compiled by song contest expert Paul Cole, the edition counts down 70 songs that have shaped the event, each with its own story and artist who earned their place in Eurovision history.
The list includes UK favourites such as Bucks Fizz, Brotherhood of Man, Cliff Richard, Lulu, Sandie Shaw, and Katrina and the Waves, alongside international stars like Celine Dion, Johnny Logan, Dana, Lordi, Alexander Rybak, Conchita Wurst, and ABBA. The edition also highlights the most iconic performances that define Eurovision.
Paul Cole brings a wealth of experience to the project, having lunched with ABBA in Manchester, partied with Bucks Fizz in Birmingham, and interviewed numerous Eurovision names. In 1976, he served on the judging panel that sent Brotherhood of Man to the contest with 'Save All Your Kisses for Me', which went on to become Eurovision history.
The 'Legends of Eurovision' special edition is available for purchase from participating retailers and supermarkets, with postage and packaging applicable. It offers fans a chance to relive seven decades of unforgettable musical moments from across Europe.
