Lee Mack Stunned by Contestant's 'Disgusting' Eyelash Collection on The 1% Club
Lee Mack horrified by contestant's eyelash collection

Host Lee Mack was left utterly horrified during the latest episode of ITV's popular quiz show, The 1% Club, when a contestant made a shocking and unusual admission about his personal collection.

The 'Disgusting' Revelation

The incident occurred on the episode that aired on Saturday, November 15, 2025. Comedian Lee Mack, known for his quick wit, was engaging in his usual free-flowing chats with contestants between questions. The conversation took a bizarre turn when he spoke to a student named Nathaniel, who revealed he was an avid collector.

Nathaniel's most recent collection, however, was far from ordinary. He produced a small tube and confessed to Lee Mack and the entire studio that it contained his own fallen eyelashes. The host recoiled in immediate disgust, exclaiming, "Urgh, that's disgusting!" which was met with laughter from the audience.

When a baffled Mack questioned how he could be sure the eyelashes were his, Nathaniel quipped, "A father knows", before further confusing the host by claiming, "my eyelashes are my kids."

Viewer Reaction and Show Format

Viewers watching at home were quick to share their stunned reactions on social media. One person questioned the authenticity of such moments, posting: "I need to know before the show starts do they pick random contestants and give them stupid stuff to say? #The1PercentClub."

Another viewer commented on the uniqueness of the hobby, writing: "I've never known of anyone who collects eyelashes as a hobby. #The1PercentClub." The show's format, which sees 100 contestants start with a £1,000 stake and answer questions of increasing difficulty, often leads to such memorable interactions.

Road to the Final and the Winner

Despite the bizarre interlude, student Nathaniel proved to be a strong player. He navigated the questions on mystery words, modes of transport, and well-known phrases successfully. He was one of four contestants to reach the final, coveted 1% question, having reached that stage without needing to use his pass.

For the final challenge, the contestants were shown an image and asked, 'How many squares are there in this image?' Each of the four finalists gave a different answer, but only a contestant named Martin provided the correct one: 46 squares. This victory earned him the grand prize of £95,000 from the collective pot.

Although Nathaniel didn't win the top prize, his performance ensured he left the studio with his initial £1,000 stake. The 1% Club continues to air on Saturdays at 8pm on ITV1 and is available for streaming on ITVX.
