Kris Marshall, who stars as DI Humphrey Goodman in BBC One's Beyond Paradise and its sister show Death in Paradise, reunited with a former co-star during the latest episode of the spin-off series.
Peter Davison, best known for his role in Doctor Who, appeared in the episode as Arnold Finch, a character he originally played in Death in Paradise. In Beyond Paradise, Finch is seen going on a date with Martha's mother Anne, played by Barbara Flynn.
Fans were delighted by the reunion. One wrote on social media: "#BeyondParadise Peter Davison 'dating' Barbara Flynn? Oh come on! That can't be a casting coincidence." Another added: "I was hoping that Peter Davison would have a scene with Barbara Flynn as soon as he was announced as a guest star. Peter Davison and Barbara Flynn together again!"
Marshall previously spoke about moving on from Death in Paradise with Beyond Paradise, saying: "I think it has an amazing foundation as it is part of the Death in Paradise universe... I’m extremely lucky that Humphrey was one of the show’s most popular characters."
