Kit stalks Sarah and plots revenge in Coronation Street

DS Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) is set to turn from a cheeky copper into a vindictive schemer as he grows increasingly paranoid over Sarah Platt's (Tina O'Brien) renewed closeness with her ex Gary Windass (Mikey North). The police officer, who has a track record of bending and breaking the law, plans a dinner party that will serve a heaping portion of revenge, according to Metro Soaps.

Kit's Suspicion Grows

The episode begins with a flash-forward to the aftermath of the dinner party in Kit and Sarah's flat. The table is blood-stained and covered in broken glass, with an up-ended chair. Sarah's hand is bandaged, presumably from cutting it on the glass. Tension builds as Kit, already suspicious, receives a text from Sarah cancelling their planned lunchtime food shopping. Colleague Brody (Ryan Mulvey) teases Kit that Sarah has had a better offer, and Maria Windass (Samia Longchambon) overhears, her own suspicions about Gary and Sarah growing.

Later, when Sarah leaves the builders' yard, Kit watches her with increasing paranoia. In the Rovers, Sarah invites Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) and Summer (Harriet Bibby) to join her and Kit for dinner, leaving Kit looking devastated. However, when he spots Sarah whispering to Gary, Kit suddenly seizes his chance for revenge by suggesting that Gary and Maria might also join them. Gary and Sarah freeze, while Maria accepts the invitation, setting the stage for a tense evening.

Kit's Dark History

Kit is no stranger to unethical behaviour. He has previously planted evidence to frame Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) for Lauren Bolton's murder and let Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton) go to prison for arson. As the investigating officer for Theo's murder, Kit already regards Gary as suspect number one. Gary had a motive: he hated Theo for bullying Todd, and on the night of the murder, Gary bashed up Theo's van with a sledgehammer. Maria provided a false alibi for Gary, claiming they were having quality time at the builders' yard, but she is now regretting it as she suspects Gary and Sarah are having an affair.

Sarah's History with Wrong'uns

Sarah Platt has a long history of falling for dangerous men, including teenage romance with Todd Grimshaw before he came out, murderous gangster Callum Logan (Sean Ward), and drug dealer Damon Hay (Ciarán Griffiths). Gary Windass was no exception, with the two enjoying a long, on-again-off-again passionate relationship that ended due to Gary's criminal activities. Recently, they have become cosy again, especially after Sarah was attacked from behind by a mysterious assailant, secretly Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown).

Kit, unaware of the real attacker, is focused on Gary. He is so clueless that he is about to propose to Sarah, having already asked her daughter Bethany's (Lucy Fallon) permission. But his growing jealousy and paranoia are about to change everything.

The Sinister Dinner Party

The dinner party promises to be a night of revelations and violence. With Kit's vengeful plan in motion, viewers can expect a dramatic confrontation. The flash-forward indicates a violent end to the evening, with Sarah injured and the flat in disarray. Who will be the victim of Kit's scheme? And will Gary and Sarah survive the night?
