Hollywood actor Kevin Sorbo has launched a scathing attack on the film industry, accusing it of prioritising 'woke' messaging over entertainment—and losing money as a result.
The Hercules star, known for his conservative views, claimed that audiences are turning away from films that push political agendas, leading to box office failures.
'Hollywood is Out of Touch'
Sorbo, 65, didn't hold back in his criticism, stating that studios are alienating viewers by focusing too heavily on progressive themes. 'They're losing money because of it,' he declared.
The actor, who has appeared in numerous faith-based films in recent years, argued that traditional storytelling resonates far more with audiences than 'preachy' content.
Praise for Trump and Conservative Values
In the same interview, Sorbo praised former US President Donald Trump, calling him a 'strong leader' who wasn't afraid to challenge the status quo.
He also expressed frustration with what he sees as Hollywood's liberal bias, suggesting that conservative voices are often sidelined in the entertainment industry.
A Call for Change
Sorbo urged filmmakers to return to classic storytelling, free from heavy-handed political messaging. 'People just want to be entertained,' he said.
His comments come amid growing debate over the financial performance of recent 'woke' films, with several high-profile projects underperforming at the box office.
