Kelly Clarkson Postpones Las Vegas Residency Dates Over Ex-Husband's Illness

Kelly Clarkson has postponed the August dates of her Las Vegas residency, citing health issues affecting her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock. The singer and talk show host announced the decision in a social media post, saying she needs to be fully present for her children during this difficult time.

The postponed shows, scheduled for August 8-9 and 15-16 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, are part of her 'Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions' residency. Caesars Palace has advised ticket holders to hold onto their tickets for newly announced 2026 dates or request a refund within 30 days. The residency is expected to resume in November with performances on the 7th, 8th, 14th, and 15th.

This is not the first disruption to Clarkson's schedule this year. Earlier in 2025, she missed ten episodes of 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' without explanation, and in early July, she cancelled a Vegas show just 90 minutes before she was due to perform, citing vocal strain from rehearsals.

Clarkson shares two children, daughter River Rose and son Remington Alexander, with Blackstock. The pair married in 2013, separated in 2020, and their divorce was finalized in 2022 after a protracted legal battle. In a January 2024 interview with People, Clarkson described the split as 'extraordinarily hard,' and on a March 2025 podcast, she spoke about the challenges of co-parenting.

Fans have expressed support for Clarkson's decision to prioritise her family, echoing her message of grace and understanding during this personal time.
